Anahitas' Apron

For my friends daughters 6th Birthday next month I have started making her an apron. I made her sister one for her birthday last year but didn't have a sewing machine then so had to hand sew the whole thing which took about 2 months....sewing machines are great! I haven't quite finished yet still requires a pocket and the bottom to be finished.

However, am hosting a dinner party tomorrow night for some friends we are having a pork roast and I am attempting to make Annabelle Langbeins' strawberry cloud cake. Let's hope all goes to plan.

Dress Inspiration

Finally it's friday and the weekend is almost here (it's been a loooong week). Have been looking foward to this weekend since xmas as my mum is making me a dress to wear to a wedding next month, it's green, opal and silver striped with a 1950s style skirt. After falling upon the vogue pattern website I have found a dress that I would love to make one day. With a bright coloured fabric this dress could look amazing!. Have a great weekend.

Cushions and Machine Photos

Finally!... I have got around to taking some photos of the cushions that I have made and of the machine that I have bought. They are very basic but I think that they are ok for my first go.

At Last!

Finally over the xmas break I have been out and bought myself a sewing machine. It is a fairly basic brother machine but will definitely do the trick. So far I have made three cushions with it, and hopefully will have made two more by the end of next week. I will post pictures of my sewing machine and cushions tonight.
